Most bathrooms (with pipework installed in the last fifty years or so) have 1/2" BSP pipes feeding the basin taps and 3/4" BSP connecting to the bath taps (this allows for greater water flow, so the bath can fill more quickly).
Some bathrooms, particularly those with older pipework may use 1/2" BSP pipes to both basin and bath, and for these installations, the beaumont range includes a 1/2" Bath shower mixer.
If you aren't certain what size pipes you have;
i) remember that the newer your bathroom the more likely it is to have 3/4" pipes to the bath
ii) if you can, feel the size of the taps going to your basin and bath; if the pipes going to the bath taps feel noticeably thicker than the ones going to your basin, you almost certainly have 3/4" taps going to your bath.
iii) if you remain in any doubt about the size of pipes, check with a plumber.
So, most baths would require the 3/4" Bath Shower Mixer (below), but if you do have 1/2" pipes going to your bath, you can opt for this 1/2" Bath Shower Mixer.
