Manual and Thermostatic Shower Valves at SMR Bathrooms

A shower mixer valve is the way to get the shower experience you want, taking hot and cold water from your system and combining them to create the stream of water for you.
Our shower valves are made of solid brass plated with chrome (or, in the case of some of our traditional models, antique gold plating). Ceramic cartridge technology ensures smooth operation for consistent performance.
The most popular type are thermostatic - these include a temperature sensor, so that when the desired temperature has been set, the valve will self-adjust if required to ensure the water output remains at that temperature (if, for example, the pressure of the cold water supply feed drops because another appliance is in use elsewhere in the house, it will adjust how much hot water is taken in so that the temperature of the output is unaffected). Manual versions are less sophisticated - the hot and cold supply are controlled by the user - but are usually less expensive than thermostatic equivalents. One useful feature of some of our valves is the diverter function; this is where the output can be switched between one or more outlets; for example, if you have a shower head fitted, but also wish to have a bath filler, with the valve doing the job of mixing the water supply; a shower mixer with a diverter means you can switch the water supply from the shower head to the bath filler and back again. Some of our valves have this as a built in function, in other cases a diverter valve can be purchased separately.
The number of diverter settings can vary - for example, some would only have three settings; outlet one (for example shower head), OR outlet two (for example bath filler) OR off.
